Hammons Parkway ♦ Springfield, Missouri  Guest Speaker – Mike Huckabee Michael Dale "Mike" Huckabee was the governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007 and a candidate in the 2008 United States presidential election. Governor Huckabee is recognized as a national leader in the areas of education reform and health care reform. A man of varied interests, Huckabee is the author of several books including the recently published From Hope to Higher Ground: My Vision For Restoring America’s Greatness. He is an ordained Southern Baptist minister and a musician who plays bass guitar in the rock band, Capitol Offense. Having accomplished the loss of 110 pounds in a very short time, he is a staunch advocate for living a healthy lifestyle. He and his wife, Janet, have been married 33 years and are the parents of three grown children: John Mark, David, and Sarah.
